The Link Route connects the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) to the South Burnett Rail Trail (including KKRT). Thus making a continuous ride route from Ipswich through to Kilkivan
The Link Route is fully signposts and follows the old stock route from Yarraman to Nanango then utilizes bitumen and dirt back roads from Nanango to Kingaroy. There is something for everyone on this ride and Nanango is a great half way point to stop for a coffee or lunch with multiple places to eat. There are also numerous alternatives if you are looking to stay the night in Nanango. From camping to pubs stays, Airbnb's and motel style accommodation.
PLEASE NOTE- If you are riding this route in the first half of 2022, please note that you will mostly likely get your feet wet crossing Yarraman Creek, so be prepared. The route surface has held up fairly well during the summer rains. However the 2kms either side of the Yarraman Creek crossing can be a little rough and ready. If you are prepared for this then it shouldn't be an issue, ride slowly or walk if needed.

Loop Rides in an Around Nanango
The area around Nanango has much to offer for the rider. Two rides that have been developed by local riders are the NAN 1 and NAN 2 Circuit rides. These rides are fully signposted and mapped on Trailforks. Both rides showcase the wonderful countryside that can be seen all around the South Burnett Region. Congratulations to the Nanango crew for their efforts in putting these two rides together.

For those who are adventurous there is also the Linville-Yarraman-Nanango-Linville Circuit Ride. This ride is 126kms in length and is best tackled over two days. The route starts in Linville follows the BVRT to Yarraman. You then transition on the Yarraman to Nanango “Link Route". From Nanango you follow backroads heading towards the Western Branch of the Brisbane River. The drop into the river valley is a amazing decent. After the decent you follow the Western Branch of the Brisbane River, crossing it over 20 times before reaching Linville.
A moderate fitness level is needed for this ride as there are a number of hills to negotiate. You will need to carry plenty of food and water and well as spares.
